THE LOAN MODIFICATION PROCESS
We know how serious your situation is, and we know how important your home is, and that is why ModifyUtah.org has partnered with, and retained the best professional negotiation team to negotiate for our clients. The following is the standard process for each loan modification. Some clients may necessitate a slight variation in this process in order to meet their needs. However, rest assured we will do all in our power to save your home. Step 1 Find out if a loan modification is right for you. You can either call ModifyUtah.org directly, at 800-400-1850, or speak to a licensed mortgage broker that specializes in loan modification, or you can fill out this form and a specialist will call you directly. Step 2 Get pre-approved. See if you qualify for the Making Home Affordable government plan or any other modification program through your lender. ModifyUtah.org has had specialized training to know what to look for in loan modifications. We can tell immediately whether or not your situation is conducive to the modification process. Step 3 If you are pre-approved, fill out our consultation form in order to receive a complete analysis of your personal situation. Step 4 Speak directly to a modification specialist about the details of your mortgage. They will explain what help you can expect to receive through working with ModifyUtah.org and their legal team. Step 5 Begin the process by retaining our legal counsel. It only takes a few required documents in order to get started and have our negotiation team represent you. You will have the best negotiators and mortgage processors at your immediate disposal working on your modification. Step 6 Gather all required documents for the modification. Tax returns, bank statements, and the like are all required by the lender. We will need these documents within a week of commencing step 5. Step 7 Be patient. This is no doubt the most difficult step in the modification process. We understand the urgency of the situation and will do all it takes to complete your modification in a timely manner. A typical modification can take anywhere from 90-120 days, however, depending on your lender or servicer, it may take longer. Step 8 Review and accept the terms of your modification. In many cases you will hear directly from your lender as a result of our persistence and ongoing negotiations. Step 9 Relax. Step 10 Refer your neighbors. |
